how it began...

The proprietor, Andi Stephen, has several years experience in on air radio broadcasting and some filming experience on TV where he and a colleague made a programme which was broadcast on television. They won a competition in which the prize was video camera & equipment worth £1000. At the radio station, Andi was often asked to entertain the crowds at OB’s (outside broadcasts) as he was considered naturally entertaining. I guess that’s why he is so successful with Candoo.

Candoo Disco’s started off with a blank canvas and an idea to entertain people as well as playing the best tunes. Andi started off with a mere 6 disco albums some borrowed karaoke CD’s and some second hand equipment. That was circa 2000, now, some 7 years on the name is not the only thing that has evolved.
